We are so excited to announce our 2026 Lenten Mission: Return to the Lord.

A series of three evenings, our Lenten Mission will be held Monday, March 16, Tuesday, March 17, and Wednesday, March 18. Each evening session will be held from 6:00-7:30pm. A social gathering with light refreshments will follow each session in Father Klink Hall. The entire event is free to attend, registration is encouraged. We will be welcoming three amazing speakers to speak on our topic: Return to the Lord.

Night One: Father Sam Martin — Return to the Lord In Your Heart

Night Two: Chris Carstens — Return to the Lord In Your Family

Night Three: Anne Auger — Return to the Lord in Your Community

Each evening will include a presenation by the speaker, praise and worship music, and a period of Adoration. We hope you can join us for three Spirit-filled evenings to rekindle your love for the Lord this Lenten Season!

Father Samuel Martin was born in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin to Mark and Barbara Martin. He is the second of five children and was blessed to have been raised on a farm. He attended Holy Name High School Seminary in Madison, Wisconsin and then attended college at the University of Saint Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota, spending four years at Saint John Vianney Seminary. He graduated with a double major in Philosophy and Theology. Father Martin continued his studies at the North American College in Rome, earning a Bachelor of Sacred Theology (STB) from the Gregorian University and a Licentiate in Sacred Theology (STL) from the Pope John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family.

Ordained to the priesthood in 1999, Father Martin served as a high school chaplain for eleven years. He served as pastor of Saint John the Baptist in Marshfield and Christ the King in Spencer for eight years, followed by six years at Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Wausau.

Fr. Martin has been a priest for twenty-six years and currently serves as the Vicar for Clergy for the Diocese of La Crosse. He loves to read and hike and is a better speaker than listener. With your prayers, he is working on that last part.

Christopher Carstens directs the Office for Sacred Worship in the Diocese of La Crosse, Wisconsin; coordinates the Institute for Liturgical Formation at Christendom College; and directs Adoremus: Society for the Renewal of the Sacred Liturgy. He serves as a consultant to the USCCB’s Committee on Divine Worship, and he is author of A Devotional Journey into the Mass and A Devotional Journey into the Easter Mystery(Sophia), as well as Principles of Sacred Liturgy: Forming a Sacramental Vision (Hillenbrand Books). He and his family live in Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin.

Anne Auger is a wife and mother of 7 children. She graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with an MA in Theology and has worked for over 20 years in parochial, RCIA, Adult Catechesis, and Religious Education programs throughout the Milwaukee and Madison dioceses. She has served as an instructor at the Madison Seat of Wisdom Institute, and has been a keynote speaker at many parishes and Catholic events. Currently, Anne serves as Director of Evangelization for St. Therese of Lisieux Pastorate in Madison.
